Solidarity in Mission (SOMI) – East Nigeria Province
About Solidarity in Mission (SOMI)
SOMI is a Claretian initiative designed to embody the congregation’s mission of reaching those at the peripheries of life. It is structured into three complementary units — Medical, Education, and Human Rights/Social Justice — each addressing critical dimensions of human dignity and wellbeing. Together, they form a holistic outreach framework that integrates healthcare, education, and advocacy.
SOMI is not just philanthropy — it is missionary work rooted in faith and service. By combining medical care, educational support, and human rights advocacy, SOMI addresses both immediate needs and systemic challenges. Its holistic approach ensures that health, knowledge, and justice are treated as interconnected pillars of human dignity.

Provides free medical outreach programs in underserved communities.
Services include consultations, diagnostic tests (blood pressure, glucose, malaria, eye exams), treatment, and medication distribution.

Mission: To break cycles of poverty by ensuring access to education and supporting vulnerable children’s holistic growth.
Impact: Sustained educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth, fostering long-term empowerment.
